Christmas Photos !!!!

Hi everybody,

Thanks for hanging in recently, updates have been few and far between. In any case, shown below are a few Christmas shots.

As you have seen, Davey and Sam from Aylesbury arrived safely on Friday morning to West Lafayette. On Christmas eve we all visited Randy and Lorraine to exchange presents and wish them all the best. Randy is a dab hand at omelet preparation and we were all willing to sample the fare.

Had a relaxing Christmas day. Didn't manage to burn the turkey and the sprouts were not that soggy. All in all, a slow day was had by all, food, sweets, wine, etc etc!!

Anja seems to have adopted several new tricks over this holiday period (must be the influence of her uncle Davey the joker), she is now crawling at top speed, pulling herself up on all imaginable items including her cot (crib). She has also decided that naps are not her thing!! Her parents know better!!

Hope you all had a great holiday and speak to you all soon. Watch this space for more holiday snaps!!!!!

Christmas Holidays !!

Merry Christmas Everybody!

I know it's not actually Christmas yet but we are getting closer. I have now being on holidays for a couple of days and I'm starting to feel very relaxed. Lynne is also relaxing, she is currently curled up on the couch with a book and a tube of pringles!! It's 9.40am and Anja is asleep - how relaxed is that?

Shown below are a few recent pictures. Anja is getting bigger but I guessed you all worked that out. She actually was sick all last weekend, some sort of viral bug but she is getting the better of it now.

We still have snow on the ground here from last week so it's heading for a white holiday season. We are actually forecasted to have snow Christmas morning which would be nice. It is cold though. It hit -15C the other day with average temperatures well below freezing point. The fire we have going most nights is well appreciated.

I also show a picture of our Christmas present to each other. The painting above our stereo, Autumn Afternoon by Lynn Rowan Myers. We purchased it from Arts in Georgetown, who seem to sell most of her work.

Today I go to Chicago to collect Dave and Sam who have been there since Tuesday night. Hopefully they have found some nice cosy places since Chicago is brutally cold at this time of the year. No doubt these pages will soon be filled with pics of Dave, Sam and Chicago.

More later....see you all then

Lots to Update on!!

We're back,

I know it's been a time but life has been a little more than hectic these last two weeks. Let me see where do I begin.

Since I last updated this page, I turned over another year, Anja is now motoring around the house and cannot be left unattended, I have been to both Switzerland and Germany and we are preparing for Christmas.

Yes I turned over another year. Many thanks to you all for your best wishes and cards! I got an ipod, the new 60GB one that can play videos and if I be honest this has also pulled me away from blog updating. I love podcasting, particularly since I can now keep up to date on all those British and Irish shows!!

Anja is now fully mobile. Still pictures can no longer do her justice. I need to invest in video!!

I also show a picture below of a very good friend of ours, Arndt Ellwanger. He is a patent attorney working in Mannheim, Germany. We got to know him while working in Sweden. We worked together. Anyhow, I was able to catch up with him for an evening in Stuttgart last Thursday evening. It was good to meet him again.

I think I have covered the major items since our last post!!

Next big event in West Lafayette will be the arrival of Uncle David and Auntie Sam (well you all know what I mean). They arrive very soon!!

More later

Paul
